Leaving its source behind, the Severn has now reached the Hafren Forest. It is recognisably a river now, carving its way through the Welsh mountains and rushing through steep valleys down into the rolling countryside. 🌲✨
To capture this growth, the soundscape mirrors the river’s evolving journey. We’ve layered deep, low sounds beneath lighter drones, with gentle guitar arpeggios that weave in and out of subtle delay lines—floating, developing, and always moving forward. 🎸🔊
As the guitar line fades, the music becomes light and free, mimicking the Severn as it skirts farmland, glides past roads, and slips under bridges through quiet villages. It is a river constantly in motion, changing and evolving.
