Earthbone blends the beautiful sounds of the natural world with gentle acoustic instruments and textures to create calming music in tune with the rhythms of nature, gathered and created by musicians and found sound artists Charlotte Watson and Steve Downs.
Rising early to record the dawn chorus, using special microphones to record sap rising in ancient yew trees and the underwater soundscape of the river which flows past their studio, the duo weave these sounds and more with acoustic stringed instrument tracks and ethereal sound washes to make music that truly comes from the earth.
Tracking the flow of the River Severn from its source to its estuary
Experience the magic of nature's sounds blended with ethereal melodies. 🎧 Each track paints a sonic picture of a day's journey, from dawn's gentle kiss to dusk's serene embrace. 🌅🌃
Two completely different winter moments inspired our EP, 'Between Light and Shadow' 🌲❄️ From scrambling to record a joyful Song Thrush in a Shropshire sycamore tree, to sitting in a cozy studio listening to the snow melt outside, this project is all about the balance of nature. We are so honoured to have collaborated with the incredible Liesbet Leroy, whose Native flute playing brought these soundscapes to life. If you need a digital sanctuary or a natural reset today, this is for you.
Let the gentle strumming of guitars and the ethereal song of a skylark transport you to a peaceful haven.
