A new release today from The Bare Bones called 'New Horizons' 🏞
This is something of a return to our roots, rather than layer multiple guitar tracks for this recording, for New Horizons we’ve stripped the arrangement back to just our two guitars 🎸🎸 The result, we think, is a gently uplifting tune that puts us in mind of enjoying a cuppa in the early morning sunshine, looking forward to the day ahead and daydreaming about new adventures.
The artwork is a photo we took looking out toward the Great Mewstone in Plymouth, capturing the gorgeous, endless sea horizon along the south coast of the UK. There’s something about standing on that coastline that makes you take a deep breath and look forward - which is exact feeling we tried to bottle up in this track.
