Hi folks, we’re excited to announce that in our 20th year of making music together we’re about to release our 10th album, ‘Almanac’, at the end of June, and it feels like the culmination of a journey we've poured our hearts and souls into.
'Almanac' is a collection of twelve tracks, fitting neatly into the calendar, each with its own quiet story. Recorded over the past year or so, each of the tracks represents a moment, the changing seasons, and the beautiful tapestry of nature as the wheel of the year turns. Each is a snapshot, our reaction to the place where we create our music. The River Severn, the trees that line the lane where we walk every afternoon, birdsong and the very earth under our feet, we’ve tried to capture all of this and more as the seasons unfold.
The album artwork also reflects each track with a tapestry of designs, hinting at the inspiration and subject matter behind each tune. (There was a little artistic licence with the titles too. Maybe ‘After the Rain’ should have been called ‘Why Has It Rained Nearly Every Day For Three Months’…)
The music is gentle, thoughtful, relaxing, and chill – perfect for those moments when you need to unwind - as we lead you on a journey in sound around the quiet green spaces we love. Music to enjoy with a cuppa, a dog at your feet and a cat curled up somewhere nearby, which is pretty much how it was created.
And speaking of journeys, the final track, 'Faded Hues,' will also be released on June 27th, bringing a fitting close to this chapter.
We're incredibly proud of what we've created with 'Almanac,' and we can't wait for you to hear it. We hope it inspires you, brings you peace, and encourages you to take a moment to appreciate the world around you.
