Whalebone’s 9th album, recorded over two years and featuring 12 tracks plus a bonus track (Better Days to Come) that are all inspired by our immediate surroundings. From Holaweg - a tune about a local holloway leading down to a reservoir not far from our studio, Willowherb dedicated the wild flower that becomes so prolific during late summers in the field next to us and the happiest tune we’ve ever recorded ‘Mellow’. The title ‘What They Do’ came from Richard Powers’ amazing book The Overstory.
