From the recording Three Fires
Wenlock Hare is dedicated to a little hare we encountered late one night driving back from a gig. We decided he’d been to Ludlow drinking and dancing the night away with a group of lady hares and he was now making his way back to the town of Much Wenlock in the moonlight, reminiscing about the evening whilst he weaved about in front of us, not noticing the car following him, until he disappeared into a hedgerow. There are two sections of the tune, the first, played by Steve on guitar is the Wenlock Hare meandering down the road, the second part of the tune played by Sarah on the fiddle is when he is at the dance (The Hop!) having a great time with all the lady hares.
