As the pandemic turned ours, and everyone else’s worlds upside down, and with all live gigs cancelled, we shut ourselves in our little studio, picked up our guitars and began to play. As a warm Spring became a glorious early Summer, and birdsong and the drowsy hum of bees filled the air, time seemed to stand still around the studio. And reflecting all this, our music started to evolve in response. As we followed the music where it led us, this new ambient side to Whalebone felt deserving of its own distinct identity, and so our dreamy, chilled out alter egos The Bare Bones came into being.

Limited edition hand printed album using linocut techniques. The artwork is printed from several original linocut printing blocks. As no two prints turn out exactly the same, each cover is unique, and the spines have been handwritten.

The covers are made from 100% recycled card with no shrink wrap.
